Previous steps and information how to apply for a UAE PCC application:
You can apply for your Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from the UAE online, but before you can complete this application you have to go through a number of steps in the country where you are at that moment. This makes the process of your PCC application from the UAE quite a bit complicated. However, we can help you with all these steps and how you can go through them as well as possible, so that we can hopefully make it a bit clearer for you.

Note: If you are able to provide an Emirates ID number, they issue your police certificate without sending the fingerprints. If you do not have an Emirates ID number, you have to follow the process mentioned below.

Please note:  The UAE embassy in the Netherlands has decided that before they approve the documents to be sent to the Dubai Police, they will first have to go through a whole legalization process. As a result, you cannot request the statement within a few days, but you certainly need a week or two to collect all the correct documents.

It is possible to engage a company (CIBT) at step 2, step 3, step 4 to help you with the necessary legalizations. We also explain the steps they go through below in the step-by-step plan, so that you can also go through these steps yourself if you choose not to engage a company for this.

Below I tell you which steps you need to follow to complete this application.

Step 1 = taking fingerprints and public notary legalization

  • Make an appointment to take your fingerprints, make sure you do this with an accredited fingerprint technician.
  • Provide the personal data that is requested after making your appointment. This information is necessary to prepare the fingerprint cards and identity statement.
  • After taking your fingerprints, go to the notary together with the fingerprint technician to legalize both signatures and passports.

Step 2 = court

  • Have the documents legalized at the court in The Hague. The court checks whether the information that has been legalized by the civil-law notary is correct and whether the fingerprint technician is registered as authorized signatory in the Chamber of Commerce.

Step 3 =. Ministry of foreign affairs

  • Have the documents legalized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague. They also check the details of the civil-law notary and the Court and then give their approval.
Step 4 = Embassy
  • The next step is to apply for the attest at the UAE Embassy in The Hague. If the above 3 legalizations and stamps are on the documents, the embassy gives approval and you receive the documents you need to apply for the UAE PCC.

Once CIBT (If you use their service) receives the documents, they will initiate the legalisation process in court, ministry, and embassy as soon as possible. After about a week or so, you will get the documents back from CIBT with all the necessary stamps on them.

    Step 5
  • You have the documents that have been checked and approved by 4 parties. Now you can submit the application online to the Dubai Police.
  • Start the online application through the website
  • Select Police Clearance certificate

  • Select Access service

  • You will now come to a page where you have to enter personal information
  • Go through all the steps and fill in the information that is requested.
  • When you have filled in everything you will receive a confirmation. When you have had these, the documents can be sent to the Dubai Police.

    Step 6
You have completed the application, now all documents must be sent to the Dubai Police.
Collect all the documents you need to send along with the fingerprint cards, these are the following documents:
    1) Fingerprint cards approved by the UAE Embassy
    2) two recent passport photos
    3) Copy of your valid passport
    4) Copy of your latest UAE VISA
    5) The reason for your UAE Police Clearance Certificate
    6) Active e-mail address

Send the original fingerprint cards attested by the UAE Embassy/consulate to:
    Dubai Police General Headquaters

    C.I.D. Building
    Al Ittahad Road
    P.O. Box 1493, Dubai, UAE

The result will be available after 1 business day and will be send bij e-mail.
